HELP!

Have you ever had difficulty figuring out how to do something with new software? Who hasn't! And how many times have you gone looking for help only to discover that the subject you are looking for is skimmed over in the manual or whoever wrote it doesn't understand the business you are in. And how about trying to actually talk to someone when you call the support line!

The quality and availability of support you get is a major concern when you are considering installing a new application, particularly if it is going to be used a lot by several people. At AV-Base, we take support very seriously and there are several ways users can get help. We have invested a significant amount of resources into having our Help System, and Web Support professionally developed by people familiar with both the software and the aviation maintenance and inventory business. And when you call us, a real person will assist you. Personal Technical Support does cost us valuable resources, so the more efficiently we can provide you with the information you need, the more time we have left to put into making our software even better.

Training - We offer initial and recurrent training. Depending on the Edition of WinAir you select and the number of users you have, initial training can be arranged at your facility by a member of our staff, you can attend one of our training classes at our London, Ontario office, or you can book seats in our Internet-based training. Either way, you get first rate instruction from someone experienced with both your business, and the software.

Help System - The help system is accessed through a single keystroke and once activated there are several ways of finding what you are looking for. It has a Table of Contents and Index. It also has a Find feature that lets you search the entire help system for keyword(s). Screenshots are included in the help system too, so you don't need to keep moving or closing the help window to see the WinAir windows underneath. Web-style text links and hotspots on the pictures in the help system allow you to navigate from one topic to the next quickly and easily, and Browse buttons allow you to step through topics that share a common theme, like Inventory, Production and Maintenance.

Web Site - The Support section on our web site offers registered users a host of useful functions, including Downloads, Support Documents, interactive Incident System, and a searchable Knowledge Base. Also included are Tips sheets which point out short-cuts, or remind people how to perform functions in an easier or more efficient manner We regularly produce new documents to help users decide the best way to handle specific situations, like flyaway spares kits, building up spares from inventories parts, dealing with shop supplies and hardware, etc. Users can search through all of these on the web site, open them in Adobe .PDF format, and print the ones that are of interest.

Software Upgrades ? An easy-to-use Update Center software program allows you to upgrade your program files with optional functional modules or to a higher version of WinAir almost instantly right over the internet.

Updates - A link to our Update Center is also built in. With the click of the mouse, you can see a list of the most recent improvements that have been made available for your Edition of WinAir.

Incident Reporting System - If you have made any suggestions or reported any difficulties, you can track the progress of your "Incident" on the web through the Incident Reporting System we developed in-house. This is the same system our programmers use to track development, so you can see what we are actually working on.
